Do yourself a favor read 1 star reviews on this juicer plastic screen that fits over auger self destructs in about 2 months or less. It cannot handle the pressure going between it and the auger. I am a research shopper and it took me several weeks to decide which juicer would fit our needs.

Both are excellent juicers and serve different purposes in my kitchen. We juice daily, to the tune of about a half a gallon daily for 2 people, with a large variety of fruits and vegetables. My Omega is my go-to juicer for sure, I have even come to love my orange, pineapple and other tender skinned fruits juiced with the Omega over the Oster. I also run it every morning to make straight celery juice not for the faint of heart: P it's a solid workhorse, quiet and so so easy to clean!

I had been using a centrifugal force juicer however there were huge chunks of vegetables left in the screen, meaning they were not effectively being juiced, and I was missing out on all the nutrients! The pulp was also very moist, even wet at times, so I knew something was wrong with this competitor juicer.

I called my brother who has been juicing for years and asked him what kind of juicer he had and he said you have to get the Omega J Nutrition Center Juicer - it is the absolute best. So on Amazon Prime day I ordered it and it came 2 days later and I started my juicing lifestyle. I have been juicing just about every morning for the past 3.

While this juicer takes longer than the centrifugal force competitor, the pulp comes out very, very dry, and there are no chunks left un-juiced! It is also very easy to install, put together, and clean, takes less than a few minutes. I really like the suction cup feet on the bottom of this machine, it keeps it still while I am juicing, so I do not lose any juice. Also, I love the handle at the top of the machine, it is lightweight and easy to pick up and maneuver.

I love that this is more than just a juicer - you can make nut butter, pasta, and frozen sorbet, and so much more. So far, I have made a lot of frozen treats, all I do is put anything frozen in the tube, change out the juicing screen to the blank screen, an ta-da!

Frozen sorbet, at the ready, the first time I tried it I made 3 different sorbets, frozen coconut milk, frozen strawberries, banana, and peach. Then I put in mixed berries too! It is so easy and fast, and tastes delicious, very similar to some of the water ice we get up the street - but so much healthier!

Overall, I am very, very satisfied with this juicer! We have had this machine for about 3 years now. I really like this juicer a lot because the juicing parts not the motor body go in the dishwasher and it is easy to assemble and easy to clean.

It has an excellent warranty, which you will need to use frequently more about that later. It juices a lot of different fruits and veggies - not so good with pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, etc. I cannot recommend this machine, though, because the parts break all the time, and they are not always in stock from the manufacturer, and for as often as they break, they are unreasonably expensive.

For example, the screens crack and then break--they are the weakest link. But the end caps also break off. Then you have all your produce go to waste while you wait for parts to be delivered. It makes me really question the other reviews on here.

I know I am not the only one. Just search for the screens on Amazon and you will see that the screens only get a 3 star rating because of the way they break all the time. You can also go on their website and try to purchase a replacement screen - they are not even available right now and you can't even find them on their website. I hate to bomb this product, but after 3 years, I am researching a better machine because I am so tired of the parts breaking.

I recommended Omega to all my friends and 4 of them end up buying it based on my recommendations, this is how much we loved it Well i am moving my business away from this cowards and won't spend half of the price for the whole juicer for those 2 parts.

Has a fatal flaw in that it's screen filter bursts whenever wheat grass and several other things are processed through it Buy the similar product that is vertical instead of horizontal. We have only had this unit for about two weeks and already the motor is smoking and the juicing screen and auger have broken. We are longtime Omega customers and feel that our older model was built better.

The customer service staff has been terrific and have replaced the products that have failed. They are friendly, patient and helpful. So, purchase your juicer with confidence knowing that if something breaks within the warranty period that you will be covered and the company will assist you. See all 3, reviews. But for someone who juices at least five times a week, such as myself, the Norwalk seems worth the investment. There are many reasons why the Breville is an excellent juicer but it has several drawback as well.

With the many drawback of centrifugal juicers, I started researching masticating juicers and noticed the Omega series had rave reviews. Luckily a good friend of mine owned the exact one I was considering purchasing, the Omega VRT , and he let me borrow it for a few days. This was when I started to investigate cold-pressed juicers and came across the Norwalk.

I knew I wanted a juicer that would be able to extract as much juice from the pulp as possible, which the Breville was not good at doing, and I knew I wanted a juicer that did not make pulpy juice, which the Omega was not good at doing. Based on my research, these were exactly the things the Norwalk was best at doing. So instead of throwing moist pulp away in the trash i.

Also, the consistency of the cold-pressed juice of the Norwalk looks smooth since the pulp is pressed using heavy-duty filter bags and cloths, preventing any pulp from getting into the juice.

I also wanted a juicer that minimizes oxidation as much as possible while being able to store several glasses of juice at least overnight. Also, the health benefits of the extracted juice from the Norwalk were much higher than any other juicer on the market. Here is some nutrition information and laboratory tests proving that using the Norwalk yields the highest quality juice. These were compelling enough reasons for me to finally purchase the Norwalk.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my very own Norwalk and will post more once it arrives. Thanks in advance for making any purchases through these affiliate links and supporting this website. Please let me know! I am in the same situation as you. I would love to know if the Norwalk leaves pulp in the juice. Thank you for the comment. This is the only case where some residual pulp may get into the juice but it is a very very minimal amount.

My advice is to replace the juicing cloths once this happens if you want absolutely no pulp in your juice.

Does the new O ring on this model present any problem as far as clean up? I am so close to pulling the trigger on the instead of a used one but am concerned about that issue.

Thanks for your comment. The O-ring does build up a lot of pulp but it is easy to remove and rinse off. Once removed, I use a damp cloth to thoroughly wipe down the groove where the O-ring sits as well as the entire area around the cutter shaft of all debris. It takes several minutes to wipe down but the last thing you want is any rotting organic matter to get into your next batch of juice. Hi Doug, thanks for your review. I am also very interested in the Norwalk. That appears to be a lot cheaper, but not as elegant as the Norwalk.

The juicing cloths are made from polyester. They are made of this material to withstand the pressure of the hydraulic press.

What would your comments be on the Norwalk now? Are you still happy with your purchase and if you had the change would you do it all over again.

I am getting really close in making a decision on purchasing and still debating on the Angel or the Norwalk. Sorry for the late reply. It does take a lot of time to recoup the initial investment but as long as you make juice regularly like I do it will pay for itself over time. I usually juice times a week which makes around 16 bottles of oz jars each time.

This gives me enough to last the entire week for two people. The one slight drawback with the Norwalk is the juicing cloths. So for me, it is worth the extra effort. I have never used the Super Angel before but I have read some people having problems purchasing replacement parts which deterred me from purchasing it.

I purchased the Norwalk model juicer five months ago after extensive research on many other models. I also asked myself many times before buying it the question: Is it worth to invest so much money in a juicer?.
